Mr. Govindlal Vora Ji – India’s Finest Journalist

Shri Govindlal Vora, one of India's finest journalists, has played an important role in Chhattisgarh's Field of Journalism. The writing style of Shri Govindlalji Vora is his proficiency in both Hindi and English literature. He frequently wrote articles for both English and Hindi daily newspapers in his twenties. In 1975, he also became the Editor-in-chief of the British daily "Deccan Chronicle". He was the only person in the state between 1975 and 1984, and probably one of the few people in the world, who was at the same time, the Editor-in-chief of Hindi and English newspapers. On October 1, 1984, he founded his own Hindi daily newspaper, Amrit Sandesh . Mr. Govindlal Vora ji was down to earth and was one of the best and most outstanding writers in our history.

In  Durg Congress with Grand victory of 45 seats out of 60 seats of municipal corporation elections is getting into complicated for Congress for the selection of Mayor candidate. few of the dis satisfied senior Congress corporators formed a group and started demanding for a experienced , seasoned  and senior candidate. where as the Vora group led by Rajiv Vora is adamant to make young face for the mayor posts. situation went more complicated when 7 senior Congress corporators formed a group, went to Delhi and spoke to to senior Congress leader Shri Motilal Vora complaining about Rajiv Vora's adamancy and demanded to select anyone out of the seven senior Congress corporators for the post of Mayor.
