Rajiv Vora and Esteemed Guest at Dussehra Utsav Dussehra Maidan Choubey Colony on 8.10.2019

Following the tradition of past 50 years, this year also Dussehra Utsav was organized at the famous Dussehra Maidan in Choubey Colony. Thousands of people turned up for the occasion, enjoyed fireworks and Ravana Dahan.

The guest to the occasion were Shri Vyas Narayan Choubey, Veteran Journalist Ramesh Nayyer, the well-known Rajeev Vora, Senior Congress Leader Subhash Sharma, Social Worker Kondapurkarji, Gyanesh Sharma, Subodh Haritwal, Avinash Shukla, Anil Tivari organizing committee Vice President Minakshi Verma, Secretary N.C.Jain, Treasurer Joglekarji.

The Dussehra Utsav of Choubey Colony is celebrated for last 4 decades Veteran Journalist, Politician, Social Worker the very renowned Late Shri Govindlal Vora started this tradition being the then President of Raipur cooperative Housing Society. He was president for more than two decades. After him this celebration was continued by Vora's stalwart & Ex Mayor Raipur City Late Ganga Ram Sharma.

Then further was followed by Gyanesh Sharma, Minakshi Verma. Presently it's all responsibility is take by N.C. Jain.

Rajiv Vora speaking to dissatisfied senior candidates for the mayor posts .

In  Durg Congress with Grand victory of 45 seats out of 60 seats of municipal corporation elections is getting into complicated for Congress for the selection of Mayor candidate. few of the dis satisfied senior Congress corporators formed a group and started demanding for a experienced , seasoned  and senior candidate. where as the Vora group led by Rajiv Vora is adamant to make young face for the mayor posts. situation went more complicated when 7 senior Congress corporators formed a group, went to Delhi and spoke to to senior Congress leader Shri Motilal Vora complaining about Rajiv Vora's adamancy and demanded to select anyone out of the seven senior Congress corporators for the post of Mayor. Seeing to the rebellion moment Rajiv Vora immediately called upon the meeting of all the Congress corporators and formed an opinion of of selecting a young face for the mayor posts.
